Tip: More than two tuners - Ramon Van Bruggen is a star
As you may know Media Center Edition natively supports a maximum of two tuners (well 3 if you also have an over the air HDTV card in the US)
For quite a while there have been a number of forum posts around the web (particularly on the Green Button) with walk throughs of a complex procedure to add more tuners, these have been beyond the average mortal though.
Thankfully Ramon Van Bruggen is about to change that with what like it may become the ultimate utility for adding more than one tuner. Its in early beta but is progressing very nicely.
Head on over to http://mce.ramonvanbruggen.nl for more information and to join the beta programme.

is it me or is there no way to download the application from that .nl site?? i've registered, and combed the v0.2.0 download page to no avail. anyone??
Hi David
Once registered and logged in goto download, then click on the 0.2.0 Alpha link. Then click on the similarly named link on the next page and finally you will see a download button. It is a little buried.
thx. didn't notice that you have to log in after registering. go back to the Home page after registering and log in there.
worked well with a dual Blackgold pci tuner plus a std Blackgold. had to restart pc.
Ramon....your utility is awesome. I found it on the Green Button, after I had read several detailed instructions for changing the registry....something I did not want to mess with. I was about to give up on the idea of adding a 3rd tuner when I say your post and came to the forum page.
Great job on this...Thanks

Ramon is my hero!
I've now go two USB HDTV tuners and my Hauppauge PVR-150 (standard def) working in perfect harmony. I just managed to record two HD broadcasts, one standard-def broadcast, AND play back an HD recording a tteh same time! Woohoo!
I did have to run the utility several times to get it all working properly. I found the trick was to uncheck one of the Digital tuners that was set up as both analog and digital. Once I got that right, it worked perfectly. Thanks again, Ramon!
Does this application allow you to run one tuner that supports analog and digital?
Same question. One card with both analog and digital?
you can run cards with multiple tuners
